Gorkha:
GorkhaGorkha is the birthplace of King Prithvi  Narayan Shah, the Great founder of modern Nepal and is also the ancestral home of the Shah Kings of Nepal. Gorkha can be driven within five hours from Kathmandu and at an appox. of three hours from Pokhara by bus.

 

LumbiniLumbini:
Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha, the apostle of peace. It is situated  250 kilometers south- west  of Kathmandu. Ashokan Pillar, remants of an old monastery, images of Buddha’s mother Maya Devi etc. are still preserved in Lumbini.

Chitwan National Park:
Chitwan National ParkSituated at the distance of 120 kms. Southwest of Kathmandu this is one of the National Parks listed in the Natural World Heritage Sites. Janakpur:
